Welcome to Risen Thrift!

We are a 501c3 thrift store that uses our profits to help fund Christ-centered addiction ministries. For years we have enjoyed thrifting all over the place and it is with that experience that we want to make our store all the things we love about thrifting. Thanks for stopping by!
We’re so glad you’re here!

Our Story

My background and employment history is kind of like a thrift store, a little of this and a little of that. Thrifting is actually part of that history so it was with all those things mixed in that I said to my wife, “What if we start a thrift store?” She didn’t say no so I thought I had something. After getting to know the vision of Lazarus Life Ministries and what they want to achieve I knew that a thrift store would be a great way to help fund them. In 2020, while the world was shutting down, we were making plans to open up. We opened our doors in March of 2021 and have been striving to be an asset to the community from day one.

Items to donate?

We are picky about what we put in the store. But not too picky on what we accept for donations! (So bring it by)

Why Lazarus Life Ministries?

Lazarus Life Ministries is about one thing, raising the addicted to new life!

“Lazarus Life Ministries is a Christ-centered addiction recovery ministry.  We seek to transform and restore the lives of men who are caught in the clutches of drug & alcohol addiction. We believe that Jesus Christ provides true freedom and redemption from substance abuse. It is our vision to establish a discipleship house in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, where men will be introduced to a relationship with Christ, mentored through a process of restoration and equipped to re-enter society as whole,  productive, and responsible men of God. “ -Jimmy Alexander Founder of Lazarus Life Ministries
